Student Research and Field Training Created thin sections and analyzed 100 feet of core from Last Chance Canyon, New Mexico. Carbonate research findings were presented to Conoco-Phillips regarding diagenesis of clinoforms. Cut and analyzed 250 feet of core donated by Apache Oil Company from Aneth Field, Utah. Made detailed descriptions of core and interpreted sedimentology, depositional environments and sequence stratigraphy. Had field methods training at Dillon, Montana focusing on geologic mapping, cross-section construction and utilization of geologic mapping techniques for bearings, strikes and dips and steronets.
